Shoreline Middle School Information

Registration

All parents/guardians must update/verify students’ information online at grades.provo.edu as soon as possible to ensure Shoreline has correct demographic and emergency contact information. If you need to set up a parent account, choose the New Student Registration tab.

Immunizations

Incoming 7th grade students are required to have the following immunizations:

Meningitis
Tdap booster
Two Varicella shots or previous history of chickenpox

Student Orientation

ALL students may choose to attend orientation on either Thursday, August 1, or Friday, August 2 to make new friends and learn more about Shoreline. No registration is required. Students may choose either:

Morning session: 9:30 a.m.– 11:30 a.m.
Afternoon session: 12:30 p.m.– 2:30 p.m.

Students should meet in the Auditorium.

New Students (New to Provo City School District)

Students who did not attend school in Provo City School District during the 2023-24 school year, now living in Shoreline boundaries or those accepted on school choice that have not had an opportunity to request their classes, may do so on Monday, August 5, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

The following documents are required for new student enrollment:

Birth Certificate
Immunization Records
Proof of Residency (mortgage/rental agreement or current utility bill)

Incomplete Schedules

Students who receive incomplete schedules in the August mailing or those requesting schedule changes should visit counselors in Shoreline’s Main Office on August 6-9 and August 12 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to complete their schedule.

NO SCHEDULE CHANGES WILL BE MADE AFTER AUGUST 12TH.

Back to School Open House

Monday, August 12, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

First Day of School

All students will report for classes on Tuesday, August 13 at 8:00 a.m.

This is a change in tradition as we will NOT have a day just for 7th grade students.

Picture Day

All students will have their picture taken on Thursday, August 29.

School Fees

Payment for school fees is now due. Please watch for an email from raimeeh@provo.edu for an invoice and more information.

Fee Waiver Application

Completed fee waiver applications and eligibility documentation (see application for more details) should be emailed to: smsfeewaivers@provo.edu.
