Our Social Worker, Ms. Chante, would like to share the following news:

I am thrilled to announce that our Panther Pantry is up and running! A massive shout out to the LDS Grandview Stake for organizing a food drive to get our pantry fully stocked, as well as the pantry at Westridge Elementary. In addition to donating the shelving and bins to create and organize the Panther pantry, the Grandview Stake donated approximately 4,500 food, hygiene, and clothing items divided between the two schools. I am absolutely blown away by the generosity of those involved- not only in the donation, but also in the time spent planning, organizing, and executing the collection, delivery, and setup of these items. And let’s not forget our amazing Student Gov and Latinos in Action students who showed up on a Saturday to help unload and stock these items!!!   I found myself in tears several times over the course of the morning, seeing our amazing students and other volunteers unload and organize item after item until the pantry was full. We also received donations from Officer Parker and our Youth Court, and Fresh Market donated dozens of bags full of binders, pens, pencils, highlighters, folders, lined paper, and notebooks.

This is my first year as the social worker at Dixon Middle, and right from the start, I have witnessed the incredible sense of community here. Together, we truly are Provo Strong!

Pantry items are an ongoing need here at Dixon. If you are interested in donating to our pantry, please visit the donation page here or visit the Panther Pantry page on the Dixon website.

The items listed can be ordered via our Amazon wish list, or you may deliver donations to the main office.

If you are one of the families experiencing temporary difficulty obtaining basic food, hygiene, and/or school items, please visit the Pantry Sign Up page on the Dixon website:
